Doris Saunders Epperson

Hurt……….Doris Saunders Epperson, age 85 of 3880 Shula Drive, Hurt died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born October 23, 1928 in Dinwiddie County she was a daughter of the late Charlie Saunders and Ida Dalton Saunders. Mrs. Epperson was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Junior (Nub) Epperson; three brothers, Booker Saunders, Edd Saunders and Norman "Jack" Saunders. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and was a home maker. Mrs. Epperson enjoyed talking to friends, working word search puzzles, watching TV and spending time with her special friend Cloe.
She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Ann Epperson of the residence, and Dianne Blackstock and her husband, Carroll of Hurt; two sisters, Virginia Jacobs of Gretna and Gladys Shelton of Gretna; two grandchildren, Angela Blackstock of Hurt, and Tony Blackstock and Stacey Tyler of Lynchburg; and one great-grandchild, Rebecca Lynn.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Brian Faison and Ronnie Simpson. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday, July 14, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
