Obituary

Clarksville, TN………Eudora "Dora" Lawson Cole, age 99 of Clarksville, TN formerly of Gretna, VA passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at her granddaughter's residence in Clarksville, TN surrounded by her family.

Born August 18, 1920 in Whitley, KY, she was a daughter of the late James Lawson and Ambia Thomas Lawson.  She was predeceased by her husband, George "Woody" Woodrow Cole; a son, Jackie Arland Doss; a daughter-in-law, Josiane Doss; four brothers, Raymond Lawson, Thurman Lawson, Alonzo Lawson, and Carl Lawson; and two sisters, Margie Hudson, and Mae Martin.  Mrs. Cole was a home maker and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.  She loved her church family and friends; and she enjoyed gardening and her flowers.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Corinne Davis and husband, Steve of Clarksville, TN, Nathalie Rich and husband, Larry of Clarksville, TN, and Stephanie Bates and husband, Doug of Clarksville, TN; six great-grandchildren, Marisa Longworth and husband, Rick of Clarksville, TN, Jessica Lyke and husband, Jason of New Market, AL, Jason Travieso and wife, Judy of Clarksville, TN, Lea Richards and husband, Skyler of Clarksville, TN, Alana Rich of Clarksville, TN, and Jack Bates of Clarksville, TN; five great-great-grandchildren, Lyla, Ricky, Mallory, Brooks, and Casey; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jean Hamlett of Gretna.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Highland Burial Park in Danville, VA by Lory Brafford, Minister.
