Hurt……….Donnie Leon Vaughan, age 72 of Hurt died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 23, 1942 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Howard Vaughan and Beulah Layne Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan was a retired employee of Dawson's Custom Woodworking. Donnie was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing golf with his family and was a member of the Grasshoppers golf club. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Vaughan of the residence; one son, Jonathan Vaughan of Hedgesville, WVA; two daughters, Donna Vaughan and fiancé, Forrest Cranfill of Winston-Salem, NC, and Angela Pereira and husband, Chris of Shelbyville, KY; one sister, Dorothy Burkholder and husband, J.R. of Lutz, FL; and his "granddog" Aussie.
Following his request there will be no public service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Edge Hill Baptist Church, 4321 Level Run Road, Hurt, VA 24563.
