Penhook…..Donnie Wilson Jones, age 65 of 230 Hatchett Road, Penhook died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at his residence.
Born March 22, 1946 in Reidsville, NC, he was a son of Lucille Crews Adams of the residence and the late Albert Wilson Jones. He was predeceased by a sister, Earline Bartee and a brother, Gary Adams. Donnie was a member of Marion Baptist Church and was a former employee of Southern Air. He was an animal lover who especially enjoyed cats and dogs.
In addition to his mother he is survived by one daughter, Donna Brown of Penhook; three brothers, William Jones of Blairs, Wayne Adams of Penhook, Roger Adams of Penhook; four sisters, Nancy Elkin of Cascade, Rachel Hudson of Ringgold, Gale Pyrtle of Danville and Debra Walker of Penhook; 3 grandchildren, Blake Brown, Austin Brown and Gabriel Brown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Curtis English and Pastor Derek Layman. Burial will follow in the Shelton Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
