Donald W. Gray Sr.

SANDY LEVEL Donald Wayne Gray Sr., 71, of 9789 Toshes Road, Sandy Level, died Monday, March 22, 2010, in Danville Regional Medical Center. Born Nov. 1, 1938, in Danville, he was a son of the late Hilda White Gray.

Mr. Gray was predeceased by a sister, Marion Hackett, and two brothers, Kenneth Gray and Frank Gray.

He was a member of Round Pond Baptist Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Gray was a retired employee of Allied Chemical. Following his retirement, he opened the Five-D TV repair shop. He loved his work helping people with the service he provided.

He is survived by his wife, Delsia Crews Gray, of the residence; one son, Donald Gray Jr., and fianc?, Kim Sams, of Canton, Ga.; two daughters, Donna Gray Robertson and husband, Michael O. Robertson, of Hurt, and Denita Gray Knight and husband, Harry Knight, of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, Bill Gray, of Sandy Level; one sister, Marjorie Buckley, of Trenton, N.J.; and one granddaughter, Mary-Michael Robertson, of Hurt, with whom he loved spending time with.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, March 24, 2010, at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held at a later date.
