Donald W. Gray, Sr.

SANDY LEVEL-Donald Wayne Gray, Sr., age 71 of 9789 Toshes Road, Sandy Level died Monday, March 22, 2010 in Danville Regional Medical Center.

Born November 1, 1938 in Danville, he was a son of the late Hilda White Gray. Mr. Gray was predeceased by a sister, Marion Hackett and two brothers, Kenneth Gray and Frank Gray. He was a member of Round Pond Baptist Church and was a US Air Force veteran. Mr. Gray was a retired employee of Allied Chemical . Following his retirement he opened the Five-D TV repair shop. He loved his work helping people with the service he provided.

He is survived by his wife, Delsia Crews Gray of the residence; one son, Donald Gray, Jr. and fiancee, Kim Sams of Canton, GA; two daughters, Donna Gray Robertson and husband, Michael O. Robertson of Hurt and Denita Gray Knight and husband, Harry Knight of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Bill Gray of Sandy Level; one sister, Marjorie Buckley of Trenton, NJ; one granddaughter, Mary-Michael Robertson of Hurt, with whom he loved spending time with.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.

A private funeral service and burial will be held at a later date.

Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna, is in charge of arrangements.
