Gretna………Denise Renae Doss, age 58 of Gretna, died Saturday, January 7, 2023 at her residence.

Born October 26, 1964 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of Freda Talbott Saunders and husband, Kenny of Gretna and the late Lawrence William Doss.  Denise was a very active member of Motley Baptist Church and she was a registered nurse with Centra.  She was very involved with Alpha Delta Pi and she enjoyed UVA Sports.

In addition to her mother and stepfather, she is survived by one daughter, Whitney Wilhelmi and husband, Trent of Mechanicsville; and one grandson, Carrington Wilhelmi.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Motley Baptist Church by Pastor Mitch Etheridge.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Motley Baptist Church and other times will be at the residence of her mother and step-father, Freda and Kenny Saunders.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Motley Baptist Church, 152 Perdue Drive, Hurt, VA 24563.
