Delma Faris Rowland

Gretna…..Delma Faris Rowland, age 83 of Gretna died Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Virginia Baptist Hospital.
Born October 27, 1931 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late John Daniel Faris and Alice Simpson Faris. She was predeceased by her husband, Ruben Rowland; two sisters, Dorothy Myers, Dottie Nance; four brothers, Curtis Faris, Irvin Faris and two infant twin brothers, Willard and Lillard. Mrs. Rowland was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gretna Branch. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and puzzles. Mrs. Rowland always attended her children's games and still enjoyed watching all sports on TV. She retired from A.O. Smith after more than 30 years of service.
She is survived by two sons, John Rowland and wife, Brenda of Gretna, and James Rowland of Gretna; two daughters, Becky Bundy and husband, Kelly of Gretna, and Susan Grundman and husband, Roger of Gretna; one brother, Jessie Faris and wife, Becky of Hurt; one sister, Ruby Barbour and husband, Jerry of Hurt; six grandchildren, Gina Grundman, Nicole Grundman, Reanne Bundy, Rachael Bundy, Joshua Rowland, and Kristy Harris; and great-grandchildren, Ashlen, Ian, Eli, Bradley and Eric.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gretna Branch by President Raymond Elliott. Burial will follow in the Rowland Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Kelly Bundy, 5901 Deer View Road, Gretna, VA.
