Gretna………Debra Ann Astbury, age 65 of Gretna died Friday, June 25, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born November 15, 1955 in Blue Hill, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Arnold Lewis Astbury, Sr. and Laura Choate Astbury.  She was predeceased by a brother, Bradley Astbury.  Debra was a former employee at Collier Nursing Home.  She loved doing activities at Gretna Health and Rehab Center; and she also enjoyed writing books of poems and short stories.  Debra was always thinking about other people and helping them whenever she could.

She is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Dawn Gray and husband, Harlan of Swanville, ME, Arnold Astbury, Jr. and wife, Linda of Newport, ME, Kirby Astbury and wife, Brenda of Orrington, ME, and Robin Astbury of Java, VA; a sister-in-law, Rozina Astbury of East Orland, ME; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
