Gretna……….Deborah Ann Mitchell, age 70 of Gretna died Monday, March 31, 2025 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born March 12, 1955 in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Granville Eugene McKinney, Sr. and Eva Nell Webb McKinney.  She was predeceased by a son, Matt Mitchell III; and a grandson, Joshua "Bubba" Mitchell, Jr.  Deborah was a home maker and loved taking care of people.

She is survived by one son, Josh Mitchell, Sr. and wife, Shelley of Chatham; three brothers, Johnny McKinney and wife, Darlene of Winston Salem, NC, Granville McKinney, Jr. and wife, Sherri of Georgia and Steve Anderson and wife, Rachel Martin of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Hailey Lester and husband, Brian, Erica Mitchell, Kelsie Mitchell, Jessie Mitchell, Matt Mitchell IV, Jessica Haskins and husband, Patrick and Zachary Hendricks; five great-grandchildren, Eian Lester, Grayson Mitchell, Londyn Mitchell, Aubrey Haskins and Joshua Mitchell III; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews.
