Chatham………Deborah Kay Ritter Hearn, age 74 of Chatham died Friday, February 28, 2025 at her residence.

Born March 29, 1950 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late James Allison Ritter and Emily Poe Ritter.  She was predeceased by a brother, James "Jim" Ritter.  Mrs. Hearn was a very strong Christian woman who loved Jesus and was a member of Cornerstone Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for others.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Hearn of the residence; one daughter, Shannon Robertson of Chatham; one son, Scott Hearn and wife, Michelle of Gretna; one brother, Gary Ritter and wife, Kathy of Eden, NC; mother-in-law, Jeanne Hearn of Chatham; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ingram and husband, Andrew, Aleshia Yeatts and husband, Leathern, Matthew Hearn, Miranda Hearn, Marissa Bennett and Lane Bennett; and four great-grandchildren, Rayleigh, Ashton, Amelia and Gabe.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2025 at Cornerstone Church of Christ by Bob Paddock, Minister.

The family will receive friends at the residence from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025.
