Gretna………David Shelton, age 56 of Gretna died Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Seven Hills Rehab and Nursing in Lynchburg.

Born September 7, 1966 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Edgar Lee Shelton, Sr. and Rebecca Ann Farmer Shelton. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edgar Shelton, Jr. and James Shelton; and one sister, Rhonda Witt. Mr. Shelton retired from the Lane Company. He enjoyed working outside, helping others, watching racing and was a Washington Redskins fans.

He is survived by one brother, Andy Shelton and wife, Betty of Bedford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Brother Tim Edwards.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
