Chatham……….David Monroe "Bunny" Marshall, age 71 of Chatham died Monday, June 5, 2018 at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond.

Born August 9, 1946 in Danville, he was a son of the late George David Marshall and Mary Ann Woodson Marshall Harrelson.  He was also predeceased by his wife, Joyce Ann Norcutt Marshall; three brothers, Richard Marshall, Cliff Marshall and Thomas Wayne Marshall; and one sister, Nellie Katherine Marshall.  Mr. Marshall was a mechanic at Jesse Sours Garage. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, farming and helping friends and family.

He is survived by one son, David T. Marshall and wife, Amy of Chatham; one daughter, Rhonda Francis and husband, Andy of Chester; two brothers, George Marshall and wife, Valerie of Ringgold and Dennis Marshall of Providence, NC; two sisters, Ruby Sizemore of Semora, NC and Shelia Shomali of Danville; and two grandchildren, Zachary Francis of Kingsport, TN and Nicole Marshall of Chatham.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Frank Fuller, Minister and Dr. Henry M. Meadows, Jr. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, David and Amy Marshall, 309 Galveston Road, Chatham.
