Gretna…….David Lee Hardy, age 65 of Gretna, died Friday, January 26, 2024 at his residence.

Born August 10, 1958 in Danville, he was a son of the late Herman Virgil Hardy, Sr., and Ethelyn Robertson Hardy.  He was predeceased by one sister, Kimberly Padgett; and one brother, Herman Hardy, Jr.  David was a mechanic. After retiring from Fellers Chevrolet he went to work at Meadows Auto Center.  He enjoyed working on cars, working on the farm, hunting, and sitting in his chair watching television with his pups, "Trucker Lee," and "Trish."

He is survived by his wife, Alice Hardy of the residence; one son, Brandon Lee Hardy and wife, Amanda of Gretna; three daughters, Amanda Parks and husband, Trae Chaney of Gretna, Tina Evans and husband, Kenny of Danville, and Jennifer Collins and husband, Michael of Florida; two sisters, Pat Francis and husband, Tink of Gretna, and Janice Doss of Gretna; four grandchildren, Ady Davis, Christopher Evans, Nathan Evans, and Lucas Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
