Hurt………. David Lee Green, age 62 of Hurt died Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his residence, with his family by his side after a 4-year battle with health issues.

Born February 2, 1957 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Dorothy Wisley Green of Altavista and the late William David Green. Mr. Green was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle and he worked at BGF Industries for 40 years with perfect attendance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching old westerns and wrestling, raising his Tennessee Walking horses and wearing his western clothes.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Karen Haskins Green of the residence; one son, Adam Green; one brother, Robert William Green and wife, Donna; one sister, Susan Newby and husband, Dennis; one half-brother, Lee Roy Roach and wife, Patsy; and his mother-in-law, Pauline Haskins and husband, Dale Motley.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Brian Faison and Rev. George Schaefer. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 1788 Country Club Road, Hurt, Virginia 24563.
