Gretna……….William David English, age 64 of Gretna died Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg Hospital.

Born September 9, 1958 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of Marie Simpson English of Gretna and the late Johnnie David English.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Al English and Johnny English.  Mr. English was a driver with Aquatic Bathware and he loved his truck driving career.  He loved all cars, especially antique cars.  He enjoyed all kinds of racing including NASCAR and late model stock car racing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Josh English and wife, Mary of Gretna; one sister, Cindy Berger and husband, Henry of Gretna; one grandson, Colton English; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by Rev. Jason Andrews.
