Chatham……David Wilson "Curly" Daniel, Sr., age 73 of Chatham died Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born June 28, 1948 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Gladys Betsy Daniel. He was predeceased by his son, David Wilson "Noody" Daniel, Jr. Mr. Daniel was a member of Chatham Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked with Daniel's Tree Service. "Curly" cared for people and would give anyone the shirt off his back; he enjoyed socializing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by three daughters, Ashley Haley and husband, Sandy of Chatham, Wendy Manning and husband, Ricky of Glade Hill and Jessica Daniel and fiancé, Alexander of Callands; five brothers, George Daniel and wife, Dorothy, Bill Daniel, Richard Daniel, Leonard Daniel and wife, Bonnie, and Robert Daniel and wife, Karen; four sisters, Gladys Buchanan and husband, Judd, Velma Gibson and husband, Darrell, Susie Daniel and Brenda Lee and husband, Charles; and 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Daniel Family Cemetery by Pastor Obdulio Berrios.

The family will receive friends at his residence.
