Gretna.........Norman Daryal Ayers, age 58 of Gretna died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born April 3, 1956 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Norman Elmo Ayers and Mildred Watson Ayers. Mr. Ayers was a truck driver; he enjoyed fishing and off-road riding.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Ayers of the residence; two sons, Greg Ayers and his wife, Carrie of Evington and Brad Ayers and his wife, Jessica of Gretna; four daughters, Shellie A. Cox and her husband, Darryl of Chatham, Angie Doss and her husband, Matthew of Gretna, Samantha Ayers of Gretna and Sierra Ayers of Gretna; one sister, Peggy Ayers of Nashville, TN; and 8 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Matthew Doss, 236 Steele Road, Gretna.
