Pittsville………Darryl Wayne Palmer, age 77 of Pittsville died Monday, October 7, 2024 at his residence.

Born May 16, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Gilbert Palmer and Laura Perry Palmer.  He was predeceased by one brother, Bryan Palmer.  Mr. Palmer was a retired chemical engineer with the Department of the U.S. Army.  He was a proud graduate of the University of Maryland ('69) and Baltimore Polytechnic Institute ('65).

Mr. Palmer loved all sports and was an avid University of Maryland Terps sports fan. He enjoyed working outdoors and completing home improvements.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Palmer of the residence; two sons, Sean Palmer of Charlotte, NC and Ryan Palmer and wife, Anastasia Kozup of Williamsburg; one sister, Robin Palmer of Baltimore, MD; and three grandchildren, Emma Palmer, Luke Palmer and Megan Palmer of Charlotte, NC.

Per his request there will be no public service.
