Chatham………Dane Clarke Towler, age 50 of Chatham died Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Born November 17, 1969 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Brenda Haskins Adkins of Chatham and the late Lloyd Junior Towler.  He was predeceased a son, Jacob Towler; and a wife, Patricia Harris Towler.  Dane was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and he was a supervisor with Thompson Arthur Paving.  He loved old cars and hunting.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Emily Towler of Chatham; an infant son, Eben Towler of Chatham; one step-son, Joshua Harris of Chatham; one sister, Sheila Towler Worley and husband, Brent of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Lloyd Towler and wife, Catherine of Gretna, and Tony Towler and wife, Beulah of Gretna; a step-father, Henry Adkins of Chatham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his mother and step-father, Brenda and Henry Adkins.
