Gretna………Dale Stewart Fisher, age 86 of Gretna died Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born March 31, 1932 in New York, he was a son of the late Ira Fisher and Mary Alice Stewart Fisher.  He was also predeceased by an infant daughter, Tammy Lee Fisher; and a sister, Beverly Ott.  Mr. Fisher was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.  He was a retired supervisor with Appalachian Power and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War.  He enjoyed his dogs and birds and spending time outdoors and looking for easier ways to do and fix things.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy Long Fisher of the residence; one sister, Jill Gardiner of Albany, NY; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Roy Newman.

The family will reconvene for the burial at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke.
