Altavista……..Curtis Cleveland Epperson, age 75 of Altavista died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehab.
Born November 26, 1942 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Johnny Epperson and Mary Elsie Bradner Epperson. He was also predeceased by two step-sons, Bernard Tuck and Cecil Tuck. Mr. Epperson was a member at Gospel Light Baptist church and was former employee for Tyree Heating and Cooling. Curtis enjoyed gardening, listening to the scanner and mowing grass.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ward Epperson of the residence; two step-sons, Earl Tuck of Altavista and Clyde Tuck of Altavista; two step-daughters, Peggy Tuck Barbour and husband, Jimmy of Hurt and Bonnie Keatts and husband, Donnie of Hurt; two sisters, Janie Towler of Hurt and Jean Chumley of Hurt; and 12 step-grandchildren, 23 step-great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Green Hill Cemetery in Altavista by Pastor Brian Warren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
