Hurt……...Corrie Glenn Thacker, age 75 of Hurt passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born February 14, 1951 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Victor Earl Thacker and Bettie Owen Thacker.  He was predeceased by his wife, Toni Reynolds Thacker; three brothers, Victor Earl "Bud" Thacker III, Robert Lee "Bob" Thacker and Kenneth Thacker; and one sister, Anita Thacker.  Mr. Thacker was a U.S. Marine veteran, a member of Elim Assembly of God and a contractor with CGT Improvements for 40 years.  He was the best dad and grandpa anyone could ask for; and he enjoyed drinking coffee at Chef's Drive In.

He is survived by one son, Jason Thacker and wife, Stacy of Hurt; one daughter, Paige Haugh and husband, Rob of Hurt; one sister, June Wooldridge and husband, Donnie of Altavista; one brother, Eddie Thacker and wife, Libby of Hurt; nine grandchildren, Adrienne and husband, Gilberto, Mallory, Meagan, Madaline, Austin and wife, Cameo, Summer and husband, Toby, Hope, Derek and Ryland; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor David Rowland.  Burial with Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232 will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
