Hurt………Corey Allen Layne, age 22 of Hurt died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

Born February 9, 1998 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Troy Edward Layne and fiancée, Misty Arnold of Hurt and Kelly Walden of Gretna.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents who raised him, James "Eddie" and Deborah Layne of Hurt; his maternal grandparents, Michael and Kathy Shriver of Gretna; one sister, Kayla Layne of Gretna; uncles and aunt, James C. Layne and wife, Rebecca of Hurt, Christopher Layne and wife, Sarah of Hurt, Scott Walden, Heather Inge and husband, Junior; nephew, Jaxson Burns; and ten cousins.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
