Cordie Pittmon Terry, age 86 passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Chatham Health and Rehab Center.

Born July 28, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Joe Cleveland Pittmon and Myrtie Dalton Pittmon.  She was predeceased by three brothers, Carroll Edward Pittmon, Charlie Grant Pittmon and Steve Pittmon; and two sisters, Annie Mae Beale and Peggy Eanes.

Cordie was a graduate of Spring Garden High School and PHCC.  She was employed by Leggett of Chatham and Belk of Martinsville until retirement after which she was a cashier at Woodfins Pharmacy and Gretna Drug.  She also  worked some at Chatham Cleaners and Marlene's Dress Shop.  Cordie also was caregiver and helper for several years.

Those left to cherish her memory are sisters, Betty Davis, Joan Motley, Vickye Pittmon and Myrtie Giles; brothers, H. Vernon Pittmon, John A Pittmon; brother-in-law, D. Joe Terry; sister-in-law, Joan H. Pittmon; and her many beautiful nieces and amazing nephews.

Memorial g raveside services will be conducted on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Burial Park with Reverend Mike Pugh officiating.
