Altavista……….Corbin Arik Martin Cox, age 19 of Altavista died Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Born September 10, 2005 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Kevin Wayne Cox and Ramona Shumate.  He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Paula "Puky" Wood and Howard "Pops" Doss; and maternal grandparents, James and Helen Shumate.  Corbin enjoyed playing video games and hanging out with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Kagan Cox; two aunts, Brandi Minton and Terry Tomlinson; one niece, Elena Weeks; his step-grandfather, Walter Wood; and his beloved dog, Sophie.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
