Gretna…….Cody David Brumfield, age 26 of Gretna died Sunday, March 1, 2020.

Born April 20, 1993 in Lynchburg, he was a son of David Glen Brumfield and Betty Dalton Brumfield.  He was predeceased by a paternal grandfather, Otis Brumfield; maternal grandparents, Eldridge and Nellie Dalton; and an uncle, Eldridge Levi Dalton, Jr.  Cody worked for Carr's Enterprises and he was a member of Gretna Fire and Rescue.  He loved truck driving, towing, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one daughter, Izabella Grace Brumfield; paternal grandmother, Lelia Brumfield; three sisters, Ashley Nicole Brumfield, Tiffany Brumfield Christopher and husband, Brooks, and Macy Grace Brumfield; niece, Lily Mae Christopher; nephew, Ethan Levi Christopher; aunts and uncles, Marsha Dalton, Ray Dalton, Elva Mattox and husband, "Dude", Darlene French, Kenneth Brumfield, Ava Huffman and husband, "Slick", Duane Brumfield and wife, Lisa, and Ricky Brumfield.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Bob Ballance and Rev. R.G. Rowland.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his aunt, Darlene French.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Gretna, P.O. Box 339, Gretna, VA 24557.
