Gretna…..Clyde W. Watts, age 81 of 1456 Azalea Drive, Gretna, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at his residence.
Born September 17, 1930 in Jackson, Michigan, he was a son of the late William Watts, Sr. and Nellie Newsom Watts. He was predeceased by three brothers, Ronnie Watts, Richard Watts, and William Watts, Jr. Mr. Watts was an Army veteran of Korea, and was a Lifetime member of VFW Post 4165. He was a mason, and was a member of Brick Layers and Aliecraft, Local 15 in Jackson, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Illa Mae Wagner Watts of the residence; four sons, Michael Watts and wife, Brenda of Gaffney, SC, Thomas Watts and friend, Debbie Ranes of Loxahatchee, FL, Douglas Watts and wife, Mandy of Denver, NC, and Gary Watts and wife, Linda of Denver, NC; one daughter, Karen Delauder and husband, Ron of Gretna; one brother, Darwin Watts of Jackson, MI; two sisters, Pat Dowling of Lakeland, FL, and Betty Collins of Pulaski, GA; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Ryan Patterson. Military honors will follow by the Virginia National Guard Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
