Gretna………Clyde Powell Price, Jr., age 94 of Gretna died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born February 6, 1928 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Clyde Powell Price, Sr. and Bessie Gay Price.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Ray Price, James Price, and Doug Price; and two sisters, Sara Graham, and Dot Dalton.  Clyde was member of Anderson Memorial United Methodist Church and he retired from Mecklenburg Electric.  He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion 232, Navy League, and VFW 873.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Drinkard Price of Gretna; one son, Derry Price of Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Derry Price, Jr. and wife, Bridget, Monica Verdi, Ginnie Kennedy and husband, Josh, and Ashley Price; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Douglas Gunsalus and Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Anderson Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 207, Gretna, VA 24557 or to the charity of your choice.
