Gretna…….Clella Barbour Farmer Proctor, age 96 of Gretna died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at her residence.
Born August 4, 1921 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Curgie Daniel Barbour and Julia Mitchell Barbour. She was twice married, first to the late Ramsey Benjamin Farmer, Jr. and then to the late Vance Edison Proctor. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Lewis Steven Barbour, Dudley Barbour, Garnett Barbour and Artis Ray Barbour. Mrs. Proctor was a member of Greenbay Christian Church where she enjoyed working with the youth. She was a home maker. She loved birds and enjoyed working with flowers and gardening. Mrs. Proctor was a member of the West Gretna Home Demonstrations Club and the Sandy Level Exercise Club.
She is survived by one son, Ramsey Benjamin "Ben" Farmer III and wife, Vicki of Guyton, GA; two daughters, Rose Marie Farmer of Gretna and Susan Wuethrich and husband, Steve of Spring City, TN; one brother, Everett Barbour and wife, Carrie of Clarksville; one sister, Evelyn Andrews of Gretna; four grandchildren, Mark Wuethrich, Brian Wuethrich, Christina Farmer and Rory Underwood; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Wuethrich and Layla Wuethrich; and a special granddog and companion "Missy."
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Greenbay Christian Church by Jim Headen, Minister, Lamar Tillman, Minister and Lee Ashley, Minister. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
