Clara Pippin

Gretna..........Clara Irby Pippin, age 74 of 1272 Sycamore Rd, Gretna died Thursday April, 28, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born August 20, 1936 in Pittsylvania , she was a daughter of the late Eugene Irby and Bessie Rowland Matherly. Mrs Pippin was predeceased by her husband Milton King Pippin, Sr., a son David King Pippin, three brothers Leo Irby, Avery Irby, and Acie Irby. She was of the Baptist faith and was a home maker. She enjoyed gardening and collecting salt and pepper shakers and cookie jars .
She is survived by four sons; Roger Pippin and wife Patricia, Larry Pippin and wife Sheila, Gary Pippin and wife Shelby, and Milton Pippin, Jr.; 2 brothers Sherman Irby and wife Norma and Leroy Matherly, 2 sisters Linda Epperson and husband Norman and Juanita Irby eight grand-children and 2 Great- Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Dr. Lynn Marstin.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, and other times will be at the residence.
