Gretna...........Clara Blair Angle Warren, age 88 of Gretna died Friday, March 17, 2017 at her residence.
Born January 22, 1929 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Lacy Edward Blair and Ora Cook Blair. She was predeceased by her husband, Rupert W. Warren, Sr.; and a sister, Margaret Thomas. Mrs. Warren was a member of Liberty Christian Church and a former member of the Gretna Junction Lions Club. She worked for the Brown and Faris Insurance Company in Charlotte, NC and for Piedmont Finance in Gretna.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Howell and husband, Steve of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Louise Adkins of Gretna; one foster sister, Lucy Franklin of Martinsville; one grandson, Dr. Timothy Byrd and wife, Marnee of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren, Max Byrd and Lola Byrd; two step-grandchildren, Leslie Howell and Monica Schilbe; and three step-great-grandchildren, Kyla Scearce, Bethany Scearce and Hannah Scearce..
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at Liberty Christian Church by Rev. Ralph Hager, Dr. Timothy Byrd, Pastor Jyrone Denny and Lacy Thomas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Liberty Christian Church and other times will be at the residence.
