Chatham…….Cynthia "Cindy" Pickral Melton, age 64 of Chatham died Monday, December 20, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born February 26, 1957 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of Oscar Donald Pickral and Nellie Barker Pickral of Gretna.  She was predeceased by one brother, Glen Allen Pickral; and one sister, Martha Jane Pickral.  Mrs. Melton was a member of Museville Christian Church and an Auxiliary Member of Cool Branch Fire and Rescue.  She loved her church and was affectionally called "Granny" by her family.  She enjoyed crocheting and collecting angels.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, J.W. Melton, Jr. of the residence; three daughters, Amanda Amos and husband, Tyler of Pelham, NC, Carrie Gammon and husband, James of Museville, and Gina Moore and husband, Will of Dry Fork; one sister, Connie P. Adkins and husband, Johnny of Gretna; six grandchildren, J.D. Brayer, Nikolas, Autum, Dalton, and T.J.; and one great-grandchild, Jake.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Musevillle Christian Church by Pastor Paul Secord and Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her parents, Oscar and Nellie Pickral.
