Gretna…….Christopher Thomas Hutcherson, age 46 of Gretna died Saturday, September 3, 2022.

Born May 30, 1976 in Danville, he was a son of Deborah Farson Meadows and husband, Donnie of Java and the late Edward Thomas Hutcherson.  He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ryan Compton.  He was a farmer and a member Riceville Baptist Church.  He loved hunting, fishing, riding around listening to music, spending time with family and friends, football, NASCAR, and going to South Boston Speedway.

In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by one son, Seth Hutcherson of Lynch Station; two step-sons, Michael King, Jr. of Gretna, and Tyler King of Gretna; one step-daughter, Amber Epperson and husband, Joseph of Long Island; one half-sister, Twyla Farmer and husband, Trace of Motley; two step grandchildren, Weston Epperson, and Reese Epperson; his life partner, Robin King of Gretna; mother-in-law, Sandra Compton and husband, Richard Jones of Chatham; two brothers-in-law, Roger Compton Jr. of Gretna, and Randall Compton of Oregon; three nephews, John Kane Compton, Jaykob Compton, and Christian Farmer; and three nieces, Rayana Compton, Chloe Compton, and Takayla Payne.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 24088 U.S. Highway 29, Gretna, VA 24557.
