Gretna……….Christine Gibson Walden, age 79 of Gretna died Monday, January 6, 2025 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born August 24, 1945 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Mosey Dillard Gibson and Alease Adkins Gibson.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Dillard Gibson and Roger Gibson; and two sisters, Stella Parker and Linda Peak.  Christine was a Certified Nursing Assistant.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Walden and wife, Patricia of Gretna; one brother, Darrell Gibson and wife, Velma of Chatham; and one brother-in-law, Ray Parker of Gretna.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Obdulio Berrios.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
