Pittsville..……Georgia Christine Sandridge Owen Swain, age 87 of Pittsville died Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Chatham Health and Rehab Center.

Born April 4, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Jerry Sandridge and Ora Belle Doss Sandridge Haskins.  She was predeceased by one son, Aaron Owen; and two grandchildren, Billy Joe Worley and Brent Aaron Owen.  Christine was a home maker.  She enjoyed sitting with and taking care of people.

She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Haley of Pittsville; one son, Johnny Swain of Pittsville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Per her request there will be no public service.
