Hurt…….Christine Keatts Pierce, age 86 of Hurt died Saturday, March 11, 2023 at her daughter's residence.

Born January 13, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Chesley Robert Keatts and Mary Susan Doss Keatts. She was also predeceased by the father of her children, Donald Edward Pierce; two brothers, Bernard Keatts and Melvin Keatts; and five sisters, Bernice Hawk, Fleecy Keatts, Geraldine Keatts, Margaret McCullock and Ruth Compton. Mrs. Pierce enjoyed reading, gardening and dancing. She also loved Elvis and spending time with her family.

She is survived by five daughters, Donna Robertson and husband, Roger of Hurt, Karen Dolan and husband, Ron of Huddleston, Lisa Dillard and husband, Todd of Hurt, Wanda Elder and husband, John of Medical Lake, WA and Cynthia Butcher and husband, Chuck of Hurt; a brother-in-law, Doug Hawk of Maidens; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special caregivers, Austina Elkins and Dawn Turk.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Ronnie Simpson. Burial will follow at Motley United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Chuck Butcher, 6661 Telegraph Rd. Hurt, VA 24563.
