Hurt……...Christine "Chris" Chumley Franklin, age 69 of Hurt, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025 at Riverside Health and Rehab of Danville.

Born March 23, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Clifford Carroll Chumley and Laura Wooldridge Chumley.  She was predeceased by four brothers, Carl Chumley, Ralph Chumley, Ronnie Chumley and Billy Chumley; and six sisters, Penny Chumley, Barbara Hall, Doris Atkinson, Shirley Bailess, Teeny Bradner and Nancy Davis.  Christine was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and was a former secretary with Kent and Kent Law.

She is survived by two sons, Jamie Franklin and Paul Franklin; four sisters, Lena Bennett and husband, Kermit of Hurt, Kathryn Dodson of Danville, Sue Crews of Hurt and Linda Longo of New Jersey; one brother, Joey Bray and wife, Tammy of Danville; three grandchildren, Stormye Franklin, Cody Franklin and Joshua Franklin; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Cliff Chumley, Jennifer Chumley and Pastor Joey Bray.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
