Gretna……….Cheryl Shelton Conner, age 59 of Gretna passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born June 22, 1966 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Ramsey Tyler Shelton and Catherine Meadows Shelton.  She was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Francis.  Mrs. Conner was a member at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.  She enjoyed drag racing, fishing and getting together with family.  She was a very loved grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Brandon Matherly and wife, Jennifer of Martinsville and Greg Conner of Gretna; two brothers, Carl Shelton and wife, Rhonda of Gretna and Jay Shelton of Gretna; and five grandchildren, Levi, Joy, Alayna, Katarina and Deanna.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
