Altavista…….Cheri Lynn DeMonte, age 66 of Altavista died Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born September 6, 1958 in Ilion, New York, she was a daughter of the late Leon John DeMonte and Elizabeth Huffman DeMonte.  Cheri loved horses, making biscuits and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Shannon; one sister, Elaine DeMonte; two brothers, Leonard DeMonte and wife, Debbie and Daniel DeMonte and wife, Maria; significant other, Tony Kee; nieces, Christina Layne and husband, Donnie, Daphnie Mann and Brittany DeMonte; nephew, Joseph DeMonte; special friend, Crystal Powers; and brother-in-law, Thomas Reo.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.
