Altavista……..Charlotte Davidson Woodson, age 76 of Altavista died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Guggenheimer Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lynchburg.
Born September 1, 1939 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late, Herndon Waverly Davidson and Beulah Watson Davidson. Mrs. Woodson was a member of Penuel Baptist Church and was a home maker. She was a graduate of Climax High School. She enjoyed, cooking, gardening; and making jelly and pies and sharing them with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of over 54 years, Billy Woodson of the residence; one son, John Woodson and wife Ruby of Rustburg; two brothers, William Davidson of Chatham and Ralph Davidson of Gretna; one sister, Brenda Davis of Gretna; two step-grandchildren, Shirley Willis and Barbara Harris; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Carlton Gunter. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Altavista.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
