Pittsville…….Charlotte Simpson Shelton, age 70 of Pittsville passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025 at her residence.

Born April 25, 1955 in Roanoke, she was a daughter of the late Lacy Edward Simpson and Dorothy Overton Simpson.  Mrs. Shelton was a retired secretary with the Pittsylvania County Health Department.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Allen Shelton, Sr. of the residence; two sons, Allen Shelton, Jr. and wife, Johanna of Pittsville and Keith Shelton and wife, Anna of Crestview, FL; one brother, Eddie Simpson of Hurt; one sister, Ellen Childress and husband, Ricky of Gretna; three grandchildren, Julia Shelton, Connor Shelton and Corbin Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Summersett Baptist Church by Rev. Jason Andrews.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
