Gretna..........Charlie Burton Waller, age 78 of Gretna died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born May 15, 1933, he was a son of the late Emerson Waller and Lucy Jones Waller. He was also predeceased by a son, Burton Waller, Jr.; one brother, C.T. Waller; and one sister, Cindy Layne. Mr. Waller was a former supervisor with the Lane Company. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Ray Waller and his wife, Sarah of Gretna, and Michael Waller and his wife, Mary Ann of Gretna; two brothers, Bailey Waller of Lynchburg, and Earl Waller of Rustburg; one sister, Polly Howell of Bedford; and six grandchildren, Nicole Lawson, Jason Lynn Waller, Ashley Lawson, Justin Ray Waller, Brandon Scott Waller, and Amber Rayne Waller.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Jones Family Cemetery by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Sarah Waller, 573 Farmers Road, Gretna.
