Lynch Station………Charles Harley Rader, age 81 of Lynch Station, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 25, 2021.

Born September 23, 1940 in Hancock County, OH, he was a son of the late Virgil Leroy Rader and Helen Diedrick Rader.  He was predeceased by a brother, Clyde Rader; and a sister, Maxine Cundiff.

Mr. Rader graduated from Central Wesleyan College in South Carolina with a biology major.  He was married on September 1, 1962 to Betty Wells Rader "God's special gift to him", and a match made in heaven.  He was a retired contractor and considered himself a handyman.  Mr. Rader was a member of Christian Life Church in Lynch Station, serving as a board member and president of the men's ministry.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  His fantastic family was one of his greatest joys and the center of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Wells Rader of the residence; one daughter, Michele Emerson and husband, Steve of Motley; two sons, Duane Rader and wife, Shelley of Dayton, TN, and Darrell Rader of Hurt; one brother, Rev. Glenn Rader and wife, Blanche of Pandora, OH; one sister, Martha Strickland and husband, Mitchell of Myrtle Beach, SC; eight grandchildren, Austin Collins, Megan Rader, Emma Rader, Scott Childress, Jacob Adkins, Garrett Rader and wife, Annie, Cole Rader and wife, Shelby, and Madison Rader; and four great-grandchildren, Remington Adkins, Jexton Adkins, Grayson Adkins, and Waylon Rader.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 at Christian Life Church by Rev. Michael Turner and Rev. Glenn Rader.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 at Christian Life Church.
