Long Island………Charles Leon Dawson, Sr., age 81 of Long Island passed away Friday, September 25, 2026 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born July 26, 1945 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Robert Raymond Dawson and Lucille Compton Dawson.  Mr. Dawson retired from Abbott.

He is survived by his wife, Gearleen Hutcherson Dawson of the residence; and a son, Charles L. Dawson, Jr. of Long Island.

Per his request there will be no public service.
