Cecil Elroy Logwood, Sr.

Hurt…..Cecil Elroy Logwood, Sr., age 55 of Hurt died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born November 16, 1957 in Lynchburg he was a son of the late Pastor Roosevelt Logwood and Annie Pearl Drummonds Logwood. He was also predeceased by a brother, Carl Logwood; two half-brothers, Harry Clay, and Leo Clay; and a half-sister, Doris Taylor. Mr. Logwood was an Army Veteran, and a truck driver with LCT Trucking. He enjoyed games, cards, NASCAR, tennis, and the Washington Redskins.
He is survived by two sons, Cecil Logwood, Jr. of Roanoke, and Lee Osborne of Gretna; two daughters, Leslie Gavin and her husband, Michael of Concord, and Angel Logwood of Hurt; a step-mother, Shelby Jean Logwood of Altavista; a brother, Rudy Logwood of Gretna; a sister, Dianne Byers of Madison Heights; three half-sisters, Carolyn Andrusky and her husband, Alan of Evington, Joyce Moss and her husband Randy of Hurt, and Shirley Lanier of Hurt; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Steve Parker.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his step-mother, Shelby Jean Logwood, 1526 Main Street, Altavista, VA 24517.
