Hurt……….Cecil Bennett Keatts, Jr., age 70 of Hurt died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Born July 12, 1943 in Maryland he was a son of the late Cecil Bennett Keatts, Sr. and Geraldine Keatts Keatts. He was predeceased by two brothers, David Keatts, and Earnest Keatts. He retired from the Lane Company; and was a farmer and cattleman. Mr. Keatts enjoyed visiting and helping his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Keatts of the residence; one son, Randy J. Keatts of Pittsville; one daughter, Dianne Rena Keatts of Hurt; two brothers, Leroy Keatts and his wife, Rosemary of Hurt, and Carroll Keatts and his wife, Patricia of Gretna.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Hendricks Family Cemetery by Rev. Brian Faison and Ronnie Simpson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Rosemary Keatts, 2437 Pocket Road, Hurt.
