Lynchburg……….Carolyn Adkins Rowland, age 63 of Lynchburg died Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her residence.

Born May 7, 1958 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of Nancy Barbour Adkins of Gretna and the late Roy Douglas Adkins.  She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Bobby Rowland; and one sister, Brenda Adkins.  Mrs. Rowland was a seamstress with Bassett-Walker.  She was a big Washington Wizards fan; and she enjoyed sewing, doing word search puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Shain Rowland and wife Amanda of Forest; two brothers, Timmy Adkins of Gretna, and Michael Adkins and wife, Patricia of Gretna; and one sister, Joan Barbour and special friend, Jennifer Crews of Penhook.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Summersett Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her mother, Nancy Barbour Adkins, 104 Adkins Lane, Gretna.
