Gretna………Carole Marie Hamaker Lawrence, age 59 of Gretna, died Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Centra Gretna Medical Center.

Born August 16, 1963 in South Dakota, she was a daughter of Willie Gergen and the late Carolyn Lewis Hamaker.  Mrs. Lawrence was a home maker, she was very giving, and loved her family with all her heart.  She was an avid reader, and loved all animals, especially her special companion, "Littlefoot."

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Lawrence of the residence; five children, Dessa, Michael and wife, Courtney, Joshua, Maegan, and Kaleigh; two brothers, Jim, and Howard; three sisters, Julie, Sarah, and Wendy; a half-sister, Tana; two half-brothers, Jay, and Billy; and nine grandchildren, Shaun, Cheyenne, C.J., Emory, Ethan, Ean, Gavin, Gracie, and Lily.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 361 Telegraph Road, Gretna, Virginia.
