Gretna……….Carol Ann "Granny T" Hogan Grubbs, age 73 of Gretna died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her residence.

Born April 1, 1946 in Campbell Co. she was a daughter of the late James Lawrence Hogan and Leola Kate Farmer Hogan. She was predeceased by her husband, David Eugene Geitgey; a daughter, Mary Ann Gregory; a brother, Mack Hogan; and three sisters, Rose Marie Taylor, Margie Fulcher and Frances Hembree. Carol retired from Klopman Mills; and enjoyed fishing, dancing, singing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Jason Grubbs and wife, Crystal of Gretna; two daughters, Brenda Grubbs of Hurt and Lesia Grubbs of Gretna; three sisters, Gertrude Fifer of Hurt, Inez Swain of Hurt and Shirley Nichols of Altavista; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Brandon, Jared, Cassadee, Tyler, Matthew, Jaycie, Jamie and Bruce; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Per her request there will be no public service.

The family will receive friends at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Crystal Grubbs, 973 Mercury Rd. Gretna, VA 24557.
